I have a gentrax gtx3500 inverter generator. Its brand new and i cant start it. I have been in contact with the supplier and they are sending me a bunch of directions. But i dont know what a spark plug is or carburetor or how to empty fuel lines? I just conected the battery but may have done it wrong. The instructions and manual are going over my head. I would like someone to get it started and show me how.

I have a Ryobi 4000 W petrol generator which I purchased last year. It was run for a very short time last year and then not needed. I drained the fuel. I have re-fuelled it with new fuel and check lubricant. I can’t get it to start. I’m needing an experienced generator mechanic to come to my home and get it started so it will start if we need it in bad weather.

I own a SMEG cooktop. Gas works completely fine. Ignition does not spark/work on any burner. Have tried different power outlet and does not work. Seems it could be the spark generator and/or ignition module. Looking for someone to repair for me as I'm not qualified nor able to. Thanks.

I’m looking for a licensed electrician to install a manual changeover (transfer) switch for a portable generator (3.5–4.5 kW, single-phase 240 V) to supply limited power during outages. Install preferred before Jan 8th if possible. Scope: • Supply & install 2-pole manual changeover switch (GRID / OFF / GENERATOR) • Install weatherproof external generator inlet socket near switchboard • Connect selected essential circuits only: • Lights • Selected GPO circuit (incl. fridge) • Exclude high-load circuits (A/C, oven, hot water) • Generator located < 3 m from switchboard • External surface conduit acceptable • Ensure AS/NZS 3000 compliance • Prevent any grid back-feeding • Test, label, and demonstrate operation Notes: • Existing residential switchboard with RCBOs • Generator supplied by owner • Manual changeover only (no automatic switching) Happy for essential circuits to remain individually controlled via existing RCBOs, with manual isolation of non-essential circuits during generator operation. Please quote parts + labour and confirm electrical licence.

Install at the main switchboard. Ensure that safe switching between grid power (Energex) and generator power. Ensure no dangerous back-feeding. • Install circuit breakers & RCDs (safety switches) if relevant (already installed as standard) • Wiring & cabling, heavy‑duty 6mm² or larger cabling for 32A inlet. Proper earthing to generator frame and house earth bar. Conduit for outdoor runs.
