I need a solution to stop my back gate blowing open in the wind. The gate has one bottom bolt into the ground but drill hole is shallow. Other side of the gate has no bolt so is putting pressure and pushing the gate open. Open to suggestions on solution but one thought was adding bolt to other side of gate and ensure both holes the bolt goes into the concrete are deep enough to hold in place.

We need our pool gate hinge and lock fixed or replaced. The pin has come out of the hinge so it doesn’t automatically close. The lock needs a new screw

I need a handyman to help change two top rollers on a concertina gate. Will need to work on a platform ladder to change the rollers over. I have a ladder and the rollers and all tools required. Estimate around an hour to do the job.

The cog that moves the gate becomes out of alignment as it moves along the track. The reason is that the gate has warped over time, and therefore the track is not straight. The gate is approx 3-3.5m long (I have not measured it). Rather than pack in the track, I prefer a round metal bar is welded to make the gate straight again.

The gate is sticking and heavy to close. This happened after the recent rains happened for over 2 weeks - it swelled but hasn't returned to normal shape. It's now very dried out, so it won't go back to easy opening and closing. The gate may need rehanging or otherwise shaving back ... not sure.

Hi there, We have just rendered and painted our external wall and had to remove our garden gate in the process. We have restored the gate and now want to reinstall. The brackets are very old so we may need to buy new hardware and a lockable latch. We are away and have Airbnb guests coming Sunday. We would love for you to go and look at the gate to see what hardware is needed, then go to Bunnings to purchase, the come back to install. We will of course pay for the required hardware. I have 3 gates that have been removed at my rental property that I have just moved in to. One is a steel gate and the other two are glass gates. The gates are in perfect condition and as far as I can tell must have been removed because of issues with the hinges. I assume the gates, just need new hinges and bolts/catches fitting and rehanging. This isn't a big job but I am looking for a handyman/ maintenance man and I am currently compiling a list of several other jobs that need doing which I would be happy to consider you for if you do a good job with this at a reasonable price. I estimate it could be up to a full days work for somebody for the other work.

A pool gate needs to be converted to a fence panel. This needs to be done so that it is just fixed to existing posts on either side. This is likely to require modifying pool fence brackets to hold the gate panel in place. Any other experienced solutions will be welcome.
