Replace timber in gate on original frame

I need the child safety gate to be installed at the top of the stairs urgently! The safety gate has already been bought,however there are challenges with installation due to the soft wall.

The back (brick) fence which borders reserve is too low to keep in our dog. The fence, and also the gate will need some type of extension installed to make them higher. Exterior metal gate repair. Connecting post to the house has come away due to wall plugs failing. Need to replace and reattach post back to the wall. If possible a jockey wheel attached to the fence to help with the weight.

We need to replace the padbolt on a gate. You will need to remove the existing lock and be able to drill holes in a steel frame to attach the plate and to either drill a new hole into a brick column or fit a U bracket for the sliding bolt. I have a replacement unit but you will need to have a drill with the correct drill bits and appropriate bolts/screws to affix the unit to the steel frame and for the U bracket to be fixed to the bricks. I would prefer a new hole for the sliding bolt (about 3 cm) but the U bracket would work.
