Looking for someone to help for approximately 6 hours at my birthday party. The main role will be managing the food and dessert tables and helping keep the party areas tidy throughout the night. All food will already be prepared. Some savoury food will need to be taken from the oven when ready, transferred onto serving platters and placed on the savoury food table, then replenished throughout the night as needed. Desserts will need to be taken from the fridge, arranged/placed onto serving platters if required and put onto the dessert table, then replenished as needed. Other duties will include: Keeping the savoury food, dessert and cake tables neat and presentable Clearing empty plates, cups and obvious rubbish throughout the party Wiping down tables as needed Keeping the indoor and outdoor party areas generally tidy Making sure the kitchen is left tidy, including clearing away items used for serving/plating and keeping benches reasonably clean There is no cooking from scratch required: mainly heating already prepared food, plating, serving, replenishing and keeping everything organised. There may also be the option of an additional paid hour after the party if there is still a fair amount to tidy or pack up. This hour would focus on end-of-night tidying such as packing things away, picking up cups/obvious rubbish, sweeping the dance floor, or vacuuming if there are smaller pieces of dirt/debris. It is not intended to be a full professional venue clean. Pay: $45/hour for approximately 6 hours – $270 total, plus an additional $45 if the extra hour is required. There will be a 30-minute unpaid break during the shift. Food will be provided during the party, but you’re also welcome to bring your own food if preferred. We will have vegetarian and gf options available :)

Looking for two friendly, capable people to help at my 40th birthday at home with around 20–30 guests. It’s a relaxed backyard celebration from 4pm–10pm, with help needed from approximately 3.30pm–10.30pm, including set-up and pack-down. Everything will be provided, including food, drinks, ice, glassware and platters. This isn’t a catering or full bar role, just two proactive helpers to keep things running smoothly so I can relax and enjoy the night.
