My current switchboard is very old, has asbestos backing, and still uses ceramic/rewireable fuses. Every night the power trips and I have to reset a small switch manually. I want the entire board upgraded to a modern, safe, compliant unit with RCDs/MCBs, including safe handling of any asbestos. I want to ensure the power trips do not occur. I also need help fixing a switch in the kitchen area, and I have a pool light that works but is currently floating in the water — it needs to be secured or properly mounted. Electrician for the installation of LED downlights

I have an old Ness 5000 home alarm system that hasn’t been used in years. After a recent power outage, the siren started going off. The backup battery is dead and I don’t know the code, so I just want the system fully decommissioned/disabled. What needs to be done: Confirm and identify the mains transformer (I’ve added photos – it looks like a white brick-sized box near the alarm panel, but I’m not 100% sure). Safely unplug or disconnect the transformer so the panel no longer has mains power. Open the alarm panel and disconnect/remove the dead 12V backup battery inside. Disable/disconnect the siren so it cannot activate again. Leave the system completely powered down and silent.

- Need to make sure that there is enough power to run electric cooktop and the electric oven at the same time. - Need a new power point in the sink cabinet for the dishwasher. - Need to isolate the range hood power point. - Need to run a new power point to the microwave. - Need to terminate or relocate an old power point and data point on the wall. - Need to change existing power point from two to four outlets. - Connection of appliances will also be required after the kitchen is installed.
