I have a black curtain rod in my home theater room where the middle bracket has pulled out of the drywall, tearing some of the wall material (white compound/paper is coming out). There are clear photos of the damage. Job details: • Remove the loose bracket. • Properly patch/repair the damaged drywall area(s) so it’s smooth and paint-ready (or painted to match if possible). • Remount the existing bracket (or supply stronger mounting) securely using proper heavy-duty anchors (e.g., toggle bolts) or ideally into a stud if accessible. • Ensure the curtain rod is level and strong enough to hold reasonably heavy theater curtains without failing again. What I need: A quick, clean, and strong fix. The wall is standard painted drywall. Alternative quick fix option: If possible, just remove the existing damaged anchors/screws and install new heavy-duty anchors without doing a full wall patch — that would also work if it can be done cleanly and strongly.

Previous owners of my house repaired holes in the drywall with gap filler rather than joint compound. It left the wall looking lumpy. I have hacked out the filler and want to fill and smooth with joint compound.

Looking for a plasterer to finish an abandoned DIY project in my home (Deer Park). The 1 wall in the medium size room has plaster already applied, but needs its final stages of sanding, priming and painting. Dry wall needs touch ups, repair, remove of a hole patch up and resealed correctly and another hole in the garage (different paints). The hole is a product from bunnings that was stuffed in there and painted over with the paint, but is still very noticeable. So removing and redoing would be optimal. Would need to sand down and repaint for touching up of the paint around the house. As there are paint marks and discolouring around the walls There have also been peeling and chips of the drywall which will need repair if possible. Also if you have a ladder to change a small ceiling downlight bulb near the tv stand.
