Our Fisher & Paykel AeroSense 5kg dryer isn't working properly - it often runs for a few minutes and then turns off. We'd like someone to come and take a look.

My Electrolux 7kg dryer, model EDV705HQWA, has malfunctioned and I'm hopeful it can be repaired. It was making a knocking sound when spinning in one direction but not the other. It did this for about 15 minutes and I was hopeful it would self correct but it did not an no longer spins. The heating still seems fine. When we removed it from the wall it sounded like there was a loose piece in the bottom, do perhaps there's a rod or something that has snapped off?
