I'm looking for a kind, patient person to help my mum learn how to use her devices confidently. She's smart and willing to learn, but she's starting from the very basics. She has a Windows 11 laptop, an iPhone, and an iPad — and she needs someone to walk her through: What Microsoft Office is (What word is, how to use the basics of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with Office365, and what Office365 is) What Windows is, how it works, how to use it, and how a computer is structured, how to properly use OneDrive and cloud backups (File Explorer, folders, saving files etc, and how the cloud is different to local storage) What Wi-Fi, cellular data, and Bluetooth are, how they work and their differences. How to use the desktop, start menu, and basic settings What iOS/iPadOS is, and how her phone/tablet work The difference between apps and files How to save things, find them later, and understand how everything connects She doesn't need advanced tech support — just someone who can calmly explain what all these things mean and how to use them day-to-day. Think “Tech 101 for a lovely mum who didn’t grow up with the internet.”
