PC optimisation / Pimax VR setup help
$100
Turramurra NSW 2074, Australia

Pimax Super Crystal setup with PC. Headset is super laggy and clearly not setup properly. PC rig is Rtx5080, Intel i9- 12900kf 64gb ram, windows 11. Hand controllers not tracking properly, very janky. Visuals same. Everything is up to date (windows / NVIDIA / Pimax play and headset + controllers). Yes I'm using USB 3.0 port direct to motherboard. Have tried numerous combinations / trouble shooting on Pimax / Steam VR (SteamVR vs Pimax Open XR runtime), dropping render quality (both pixels and generic 'high, medium, low'), refresh rate, and numerous other tweaks here and there. Clearly something is fundamentally wrong. Controllers and visuals won't even track properly / smoothly on SteamVR home screen let alone games. Have a Quest 3 that works fine btw and other games (non VR) are running fine - it's just the pimax crystal that seems off.

I have an OG Apple Thunderbolt Display that has a frayed cord. The display is from 2011 but it’s still awesome so I’m keen to get it fixed if I can. I’m after an apple expert (maybe someone with experience on Genius Bar) who knows how to source the part and install it to replace the Thunderbolt cable.
