I ordered venetian blinds online, with the intention of installing them myself. I’ve only been successful at installing one blind, because I cannot drill into the window recess far enough for the screws. I have a handheld hammer drill, but it’s not powerful enough. Rather than buy another appliance, I’d prefer to hire a professional who can handle the rest of the job. There are 4 windows left. The building is a 70s apartment with brick & concrete veneer walls. The blinds are secured by a metal bracket on each end (I have plenty of masonry screws). One is a double blind and it will need to be secured in the middle too.
