Renovating my bathroom in a strata complex. Requires demo. Installation of recessed shelf next to bath and one next to shower. New waterproofing. New tiles (300x600). The work involves 2 bathrooms (same bathrooms just different stone tiles). - Remove and replace the entire tiled floor inside each shower, approximately 1 m² per shower. - Remove old grout and defective silicone. - Prepare and repair the shower-floor substrates as required. - Waterproof both shower floors, wall-to-floor junctions, drains and other disturbed areas. - Cut, fabricate and install a stone shower threshold/hob piece to prevent water flowing outside the shower. - Install the supplied tiles. - Regrout affected areas. - Apply suitable wet-area silicone to corners, junctions and movement joints. - Seal all newly installed stone. All floor tiles are already available. The contractor must ensure: - Correct floor falls toward the drains. - No water pooling. - Proper waterproofing connection to the drains, walls and shower threshold. - Waterproofing is completed by a licensed waterproofer. - A flood or waterproofing test is completed before tiles are installed. - Natural-stone-compatible adhesive and grout are used. - Appropriate wet-area silicone is used where required. - Stone is properly sealed. - Both completed showers are fully water-tested.
