I recently had to replace my dishwasher. The inlet hose of the new dishwasher has a bulky valve that makes it impossible to thread it through the hole in the divider. Part of the problem is that there is a pipe that goes up through this space. I think if the hole on the dishwasher side is expanded to the left (or a new hole created), the hose will fit, as the hole on the cabinet side is somewhat to the left anyway.

I have an electric water heater (Thermann) that currently only heats at night when the elements are activated. Since I have solar panels, I’d like to maximize the use of solar power so the water heater heats during the day, and if it’s cloudy, it can draw from the grid.
