I have a Victa petrol lawn mower with new blades that I fitted, but one came loose during last use. I also had a neighbour repair the throttle control a while back, and they fit it backwards! Our gas stove runs off standard LPG gas bottles. I believe the regulator is leaking, as it bubbles when sprayed with soapy water. The last gas bottle we had lasted around a year, but recently replaced it with a new bottle and it was empty after only a month or so.
