My nordic track treadmill t-10 is not working

I cannot open the dishwasher using the "handle" as shown. I need to open it by the sides which is not ideal. The front of the dishwasher is split in 2 parts, and now it is broken and cannot be used to open the door. Dishwasher still works OK. Not sure what can be done. Important note: the job is to FIX the Dishwasher, not to assess the work. I unfortunately won't be able to pay someone just to come and check. I am happy to provide videos or more photos if need be.

Have a Smeg dishwasher dwau6314x Its playing up. when we try closing the door to operate the programs dont light up. When analysed found out if the door ia not properly closed the programs wouldnt turn on. And found out it could be interlock issue.
