Trenching for 3-Phase Electrical Upgrade – Approx. 8m I’m looking for an experienced person to dig a trench approximately 8 metres long and 600mm deep for a 3-phase electrical upgrade at a residential property. 📍 Trench: Approximately 8m long × 600mm deep 📍 Area: Lawn, from the existing Energex green pillar towards the house/switchboard area, as shown in the attached photo. ⚠️ IMPORTANT – EXISTING SERVICES There are existing water and NBN/telecommunications services running along/near the proposed trench area. Extreme care is required. The person undertaking the work must have experience working around underground services and must not simply excavate blindly with a machine. - Underground services must be located/identified before digging. - Hand digging may be required around existing services. - No damage to water, NBN/telecommunications or other existing services is acceptable. - Please advise what equipment and method you intend to use. - The exact trench route will be confirmed before work starts. - If required, the electrician will confirm the final trench depth/width and conduit requirements. Work required - Excavate approximately 8m × 600mm deep. - Keep the trench as straight and neat as practical. - Take particular care around existing underground services. - Do not backfill until the electrician has inspected the trench and confirmed it is suitable.

Need an appropriately licensed electrician (ACMA telecommunications cabling licence) to move the box. See photos attached showing existing NBN box, existing cabling, new conduit, new location for the box to be moved to and spare cable.

Task Description: Looking for an experienced cabler or electrician to run empty telecommunications conduit through our shop ceiling void so the NBN technician can thread the fibre cable during our final install. Task Scope & Path: Supply and install 20mm white PVC conduit (P20) following the designated path from the front entrance down to the staff area at the back. Total distance is under 20m. Path Shape: The route follows the indicated line—a 'U' / 'ㄷ' shape with a long straight run through the ceiling void and a bend at each end to reach the entry/exit points. (I can share an annotated diagram/floor plan upon chat). CRITICAL: Because of these two bends, you must use large sweep bends (soft curved elbows) or flexi-conduit for the corners. Hard 90° right-angle elbows cannot be used, as the NBN fibre will get stuck or damaged. Thread a durable nylon draw wire / pull string inside the full length of the conduit and tie off both ends. Ceiling access is via an existing ceiling hatch (requires a ladder reaching at least 3m high). Conduit path goes entirely through the roof void between the single-storey roof and internal ceiling to stay hidden from the main shop area. Tools & Materials: Tasker to supply: ~20m of 20mm telco PVC conduit, sweep bends / flexi-corners, saddles, and nylon pull string. Tasker to bring: High ladder (minimum 3m reach), cable rods/snake tape, work lights, and standard cabling tools. Timing & Access: Preferred start time: Around 9:00 PM (to minimize customer interaction while the shop operates). Alternative timing: Work must start after 2:00 PM at the earliest (timing is negotiable). Requirements: Proven experience with telecom cabling, conduit installs, or roof space runs. Location: Maroubra, NSW

Looking for someone who genuinely knows structured cabling to lead the job, with me working alongside as your labourer. I'm capable and I'll do the fetching, feeding and crawling — I want your experience, not just your hands. Hourly rate preferred, not a fixed quote. Tell me your rate, your minimum, and whether travel is charged. THE JOB Single-storey brick home, tiled roof, approx 195 m². I'm building a wired network with PoE cameras to follow. First session: - Comms position in the double garage, near the existing NBN box - One drop from the garage into the adjoining office — shared wall, short run - Two runs to the shed. 100 mm conduit is already buried with a draw wire in place, so it's a pull not a dig. Leave a new rope in for next time. MORE WORK TO FOLLOW Up to 6 PoE camera drops to the eaves, plus 2-3 access point drops. Positions aren't final. If the first session goes well I'd rather keep using the same person than start again. WHAT I'M ACTUALLY PAYING FOR The decisions. Where the runs should go, how to get through the tricky bits, how to leave it so the next person doesn't swear. I can pull cable — I can't tell you the right way to route it. ACMA registration preferred, so the work can be certified properly and you can issue the compliance statement. Please include your number and category if you have one. WHAT I SUPPLY Cat6 solid copper, wall plates, tools, ladders, and me. Tell me if you'd rather supply your own materials and I'll adjust. CONDITIONS Roof space, tiled roof, so early starts are better than afternoons. I'll be up there with you. Off-street parking, someone home all day, flexible on timing. Tell me briefly what similar jobs you've done — that's what I'm choosing on.
