Set up a vintage phone to ring my mobile via WiFi – no phone line! I run a boutique Airbnb and I want to install a vintage rotary phone that guests can pick up and it rings straight through to my mobile — like real room service! There is no phone line on the property, so it needs to work entirely over WiFi. What I need you to do: • Purchase (I will reimburse) or bring a Grandstream HT801 ATA adapter • Purchase (I will reimburse) a pulse-to-tone converter (e.g. Dialgizmo) if needed for a rotary phone • Set up a SIP/VoIP account with an Australian provider (e.g. MyNetFone) — I will pay for the plan • Configure everything so that when my vintage phone receiver is lifted, it rings my mobile • Ideally, set it so lifting the receiver auto-connects without needing to dial • Test it works reliably before you leave • Walk me through anything I need to know to maintain it The property has standard NBN WiFi. The vintage phone has a standard RJ-11 jack (or can be adapted). I am not technical so please be patient and explain things simply. I just need it to work like magic!
