We are looking for an experienced builder / handyman / installer familiar with structural fixings and wire cable systems. We want to install steel cables across a hall to support fairy lights. Stage 1 – Assessment Inspect the hall walls/columns to determine the material (concrete, masonry, etc.) and confirm whether it is safe to drill anchors/eye bolts into the structure. Advise on the best fixing method. Stage 2 – Installation (if suitable) • Install eye bolts / dynabolts into the walls • Run tension cables along the 20m walls • Install 13 cross cables across the 13m width • Tension cables with turnbuckles • Attach fairy lights to the cables Hall size: 20m length × 13m width × approx 3.6m height. Experience with wire rope, tension cables, rigging, or masonry anchors preferred.

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to assist with general maintenance and repair tasks across our premises. The role is part-time, two days per week (Monday and Tuesday), for a 6-month contract. $320 per day Own tools 8 hrs per day Key Responsibilities: • Perform general maintenance and repair works • Basic plumbing repairs (fix leaks, replace taps, unblock drains) • Basic electrical work (replace lights, switches, power points – where licensed if required) • Painting and patchwork repairs • Carpentry repairs and small installations • Door, lock and hinge repairs • Install shelving and fixtures • Assemble furniture and equipment • Perform minor tiling and grouting repairs • Pressure cleaning and general outdoor maintenance • Routine inspections to identify repair needs • Ensure tools and work areas are kept clean and safe • Follow workplace health and safety procedures Requirements: • Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance worker • Good knowledge of general maintenance processes • Own tools preferred • Ability to work independently • Strong problem-solving skills • Reliable and punctual • White Card (if required) • Valid driver’s license preferred What We Offer: • Stable 6-month contract • Consistent 2 days per week • Friendly working environment

NOTE:: MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED APPLICATOR OF RENDER: Required for garage. One side ~ 6.4 x 2.95 meters is in new blue board and the rest already has a dulux render coat applied many years ago. I will prime all surfaces with Roccote tinted primer before the job starts and I can purchase the required roccote render 5 x 15 litre pails in colourbond monument colour for the tradesman. I am looking for a labour only quote for the application. i.e what you would charge as LABOUR per square metre for the job of 47 square metres. I have strong aluminium scaffold and ladders if required on site. job is ready to go in about 3-4 days..I just need to buy the primer and apply before you start. Happy for any advice you have as well. Note. garage lights and any down pipes will be removed before, so you can just start rendering without delay.
