The door of our Smeg dishwasher won't open all the way, it makes a clunk sound half way then gets stuck. We suspect one of the hinges has broken. The dishwasher itself works fine.

I have a 5 year old Smeg semi-integrated dishwasher (DWAI6214X) that needs repair. The issue is that the dishwasher door won't close fully. The work must be carried out on a Saturday or Sunday in Leichhardt (no hurry). The dishwasher does not work because the water in the drain hose is coming back underneath it and the pump starts after the dishwasher is turned on (the drain hose and extension pipe are 4m long). The drain hose extension pipe must be replaced by a slightly longer one and a non return valve-added (see pictures). The new extension pipe should be routed behind two kitchen cabinets (it may be necessary to remove one of the two) and attached, like the old one, to the underside of the sink cabinet before being connected to the outlet. The dishwasher hose should be raised as high as possible behind the dishwasher . Finally, it should be checked that the water below the dishwasher is properly drained (by tilting it) and the pump does not start after the dishwasher is turned on. - Due date: Flexible

The dishwasher drain hose needs to be replaced (to do this, put the machine on its right side, unclip the hatch under the machine and remove 3 screws to partially lift the left side panel) and an extension added. The pipe should be routed behind two kitchen cabinets (it may be necessary to remove one of the two), in place of the old one, and attached to the underside of the sink cabinet before being connected to the outlet. We have a Miele dishwasher +5yrs old. We are getting two different errors randomly: F12 and F70. With F12 - we checked and cleaned the inlet valve and water pressure and there seems to be no problem. After doing this we tried to run a cycle again and got a F70 error afterwhich we turned off the machine and will wait for some help to look at it. We probably need to replace the drain valve with the ball bearing since we would get a F11 error previously adhoc which would self-remedy.
