It smells like something is burning when its being used

My young nephews were messing with my treadmill last week. l don't know what they did but its not turning on. Everything is properly connected and safety fob in place, l've turned on/off switch and unplugged but nothing. The switch board doesn't turn on at all.

Was using treadmill at home, belt was stopping while walking, on and off. Wasn’t sure if it was a traction issue or belt was slipping. Oiled the belt, was still doing it. We took off the top cover to see if the belt was slipping or if it was a power issue from motor and a fuse popped.

The digital screen isn’t working, and the machine itself isn’t turning on. I want to know what's wrong with it.

Was on The treadmill when the belt felt like it got something caught in it. It started making a screeching noise then the belt halted. The treadmill Still Turns on but the belt doesn’t rotate anymore.
