Find trusted pool table movers in Chicago

Moving a pool table takes more than muscle—its slate, frame, and precision components require careful handling from someone who knows exactly how to take it apart, transport it, and rebuild it correctly. Professional pool table movers can manage the entire process so your table arrives safely and is ready for accurate reassembly in its new space.

When you book a pool table moving service through Airtasker, most Taskers can help you with the following:

Disassemble your pool table

Your Tasker begins by dismantling every removable section of the pool table to ensure it can be moved safely and efficiently. This includes taking off the pockets, bumpers, corners, and the heavy slate pieces. Slates are particularly challenging due to their weight and how easily they can chip or crack, so precise handling is essential. Professional pool table movers use proven techniques to ensure each component is removed with maximum care.

If you're preparing a larger move, you may also find it helpful to book Taskers for other home-setup services. There are nearby home decoration services you can book to arrange any new decors you've bought for your new house, or a Wi-Fi extension setup to ensure your gadgets are ready for a smooth work-from-home arrangement.

Transport your pool table components

Once disassembled, the pool table components are wrapped securely using moving blankets or protective pads, with the slate pieces often placed into sturdy wooden crates to minimise movement and prevent damage during transit. All parts are then transported safely to the new address, where the pool table movers can carry them directly to your preferred room or games area.

Move your pool table within the home

For moves within the same home or building, such as during a renovation or room reconfiguration, pool table movers may use heavy-duty furniture sliders for short distances. However, moves to another room or level usually require a full or partial disassembly to prevent structural strain and accidental damage. Components are carefully padded and protected to avoid marks on walls, door frames, and flooring along the way.

Reassemble your pool table

Most pool table movers can rebuild it by reversing the disassembly process. This includes reinstalling the frame, placing and securing the slate, reattaching the pockets and cushions, and ensuring everything is aligned correctly. They can also level the playing surface and check for any issues that may have occurred during the move.

While you're at it, you can also request your Tasker for a pool table reassembly. If you're refreshing your game room, you may want to book a pool table recovering to give your table a clean, updated playing surface. Refelting costs in the US vary depending on table size, cloth type, and labor requirements, so it’s best to review offers from Taskers to find a service that suits your budget.
