Motorcycle Battery Install & Oil Change - Torrance
$150
Torrance CA 90503, USA
Feb 16th 2026
I need mobile help with my 2017 Triumph Bonneville T120 (25,000 miles). • Install a new battery (I already purchased it, labor only—no supply needed). • Perform an oil and oil filter change (I’ll provide the correct oil—about 4 quarts of 10W-40 motorcycle synthetic—and new filter; please dispose of old oil/filter responsibly). • Optional/additional: If experienced, check other fluids (brake, coolant) and top off or advise on full service if needed. Bike is in Torrance, CA. I’m flexible on timing (weekdays/weekends). Please bring all necessary tools, including a motorcycle jack/stand if required for safe access. Looking for someone with Triumph or similar motorcycle experience (positive reviews for bike work a plus). Quote your labor price clearly (including any travel fee), and confirm you’ll handle disposal. Thanks, happy to chat details or share more bike info!

What does a mechanic service usually include?
Mechanics are skilled in nearly all aspects of keeping your car maintained, serviced, and repaired, so it’s roadworthy and efficient to run. The exact process during your service will depend on how your mechanic prefers to work and the type of tasks they’re doing, like:
Minor service
This is the most basic engine service a mechanic provides, but it can make a huge difference in whether or not your car can operate efficiently. A minor service usually alternates with a major service, at around the 6-month mark. A mechanic near you can do minor services because your mechanic only needs a flat service to get the job done. They’ll unscrew the sump plug, allowing old oil to drain from your car. Then they’ll remove the old oil filter and replace with a new one that’s the right size for your vehicle. Your mechanic will dispose of your old filter and oil. They’ll also inspect other key components, like your battery, lights, air filters, and other fluids.
Log book servicing / major service
A major service or log book service involves a series of steps in line with your vehicle manufacturer’s service manual. It’ll include a combination of major and minor services, depending on the age of your car, or how many kilometres it’s travelled. Your service may include testing your lights, brakes, and battery. Then checking fluid levels, windscreen wipers, windows, mirrors, steering, suspension, radiator, fan belts, and tire pressure. Finally, it may also include maintaining/replacing oil filters, hoses, belts, tires, and wheel alignment. Your mechanic will finish off by stamping your logbook to record the services completed, which can help maintain your car’s resale value.
Roadworthy certificate or pink slip
A roadworthy certificate or pink slip is a specific vehicle check that’s conducted to ensure your car is in a roadworthy condition and can be operated safely. In some states, it’s required when selling a car or may be required each year to confirm your vehicle is safe for registration purposes. A mechanic will check off a list of predetermined items to verify that your car meets a minimum safety standard set out by your state government. They’ll focus on safety, checking things like tires, brakes, steering, suspension, rust or damage, seatbelts, windows, lights, and your windscreen.
Major and minor repairs
Sometimes your car might need a little extra attention if you’ve had an accident, broken down, or your drive feels a bit different to normal. A car mechanic can perform minor and major repairs on most vehicles. They’ll use diagnostic equipment to locate the issue and decide on a course of action to get your car back on the road. If they don’t have the necessary spare parts, they may need to order them to finish off your repair and replace any faulty parts. Note that a mechanic service is usually limited to your car’s engine and electrics. It’s best to speak to a panel beater if you also have external body damage.Â
