Trunk latch won’t open with the remote

Hi, I recently had my 2006 Audi A4 inspected because the OBD system won’t communicate and scanners keep showing a link error. The shop diagnosed it as a K-line communication issue, likely wiring damage or a module pulling the signal down, but they weren’t able to fix it. The battery is charged but power is not getting to the wheels. For awhile, cables would work and offer full power, but apparently shake loose. Now I cannot reconnect the cables to maintain power.
