One chicken access ladder at one end. Strong enough for approximately 12–15 full-size laying hens Freestanding — not attached to a wall Poop shelf: Flat 3/4-inch plywood Approximately 84 inches long × 24 inches deep Shelf approximately 14 inches above the ground Runs underneath the roost bars No raised border or lip Center support underneath the shelf Construction: Primarily construction-grade 2x4 lumber Strong end frames Diagonal bracing as needed to prevent wobbling Exterior/construction screws or appropriate fasteners Sand any sharp or rough edges Structure must remain stable when chickens climb the ladder or move around on the roosts This is a straight rectangular design — no complicated corner construction.
