Hi, I’m having an issue with my Pasquini Livietta T2 (120V), specifically with the steam function. The espresso side of the machine works perfectly fine — good pressure and consistent extraction — but the steam wand is not functioning correctly. Here’s what’s happening: When I activate the steam button, the machine initially heats up and produces some output, but then it becomes inconsistent. Instead of producing strong, dry steam, the wand mostly releases hot water or very wet steam. The flow is irregular and weak, and sometimes the machine cycles on and off while steaming. It never builds enough pressure to properly steam milk. What I’ve already tried: I performed a full descaling process, including repeated cycles specifically through the steam wand (not just the group head). During descaling, some debris/particles were expelled, suggesting there may have been internal buildup. After flushing thoroughly with clean water, there was only minor improvement, but the problem persists. I also opened the machine and checked accessible internal tubing — airflow seems unobstructed, and I didn’t find obvious blockages. My current suspicion is that the issue may be related to: a failing or partially clogged thermoblock, or a faulty thermostat or temperature control component affecting steam generation. I understand that replacement parts for this model may be difficult to find, so I’m also open to compatible or alternative solutions if repair is possible.
