Hello! I’m looking for someone trustworthy and experienced with birds to board my pineapple conure, Kiwi, in their home while I’m away on holiday. Dates: Unsure of exact dates But between : 26th July to 5-6th August 2025 Location: Ideally near Westminster, West London, but I’m open to nearby areas if it’s the right fit. About Kiwi: • Kiwi is a hand-tame pineapple conure, hatched in July 2024. • She’s playful, intelligent, and enjoys spending time outside her cage. • She knows a few tricks like fetching, flying to your hand, and spinning. • Her diet includes pellets, fruit, and occasional treats like multigrain Cheerios and sunflower seeds. • She sleeps in a soft hut and enjoys daily out-of-cage time. • She can be vocal and a little nippy if stressed, so gentle, bird-savvy handling is essential. • She should not be housed with or directly near other birds unless caged separately. She will need to warm up to a new person over time so can be threatening to new face. Take time and talking gently, giving treats will help with bonding. What I’ll Provide: • Her cage, toys, food, treats, bowls, hut, and care supplies cleaning supplies. • Detailed care instructions • Emergency contact What I’m Looking For: • A safe, bird-friendly home (no open windows during playtime, no scented candles, no Teflon/non-stick cookware, etc.) • Someone with experience caring for parrots or similar birds • Willingness to interact with her daily and send occasional updates/photos Budget: 💷 £8–£10 per day, based on your experience and location.
