We are looking for coaches to teach fencing in primary schools in Surrey. No fencing experience is required for this role as all coaches will be taught everything they need to know including games, fencing for children, class plans and behavioural management through a free 1-day training course. The job entails going into primary schools in Surrey (4 regular jobs per week) and running an extracurricular fencing club for the children. Classes are 1 hour in length, meaning this role is for people looking for part time work. Payment is £35 per hour. Applicants must be: confident, friendly, able to control a class and be passionate about sports and teaching children. Applicants must be able to travel to the following schools: Longacre School Guildford Tuesday 4:00–5:00 (yr 1 & 2) Thursday 4:00–5:00 (yr 5 & 6) Friday 4:00–5:00 (yr 3 & 4) 24 apr - 30 jun. (No sessions: 29 may - 2 jun). Busbridge school Wednesdays 3:30-4:30 (yr 3-6) 26 Apr - 12 Jul (No sessions: 31 May) Classes will be restarting at the start of the next academic year in September. The following information would be great to include in a cover letter: * Any past experience coaching children sports / tutoring / classroom teaching. * Your experience as a sportsperson / athlete (if applicable). * Why you'd be great working with children and running fencing classes in school.
