Hi there, I am looking for a locksmith to work on three different doors in my home: 1. Front Door (Mortice to Euro Conversion): I am replacing an old mortice lock with a Euro cylinder sashlock. I already have the cylinder (Yale 3-Star, 35/35), so I only need you to provide the Euro Sashlock case and the labour for installation. The Challenge: The existing mortice pocket is chiselled for a 170mm x 25mm faceplate. Modern cases I’ve tried sit too deep in the pocket or leave height gaps. I need a locksmith to provide a suitable lock case (76mm/3-inch) and ensure it is packed/installed flush and secure. 2. Internal Door (Deadbolt Installation): I have purchased a deadbolt for an internal door but lack the tools for a fresh installation. 3. Sliding Doors (New Keyed Locks): I have two sliding doors that currently lack locks. I need you to supply and install keyed locking mechanisms for both. Please let me know which styles you recommend for maximum security. I can provide photos of all three doors upon request. Wooden exterior door with a mortice lock that has been poorly installed. The lock is misaligned with the frame, the key is stiff to turn, and it often doesn’t engage properly. Likely requires repositioning or replacing the mortice lock, adjusting the strike plate, and filling previous fixing holes for a secure, properly aligned fit.
