Looking for someone to fix a very slow-draining bathroom sink. We think there is a build-up of toothpaste/soap/gunk in the pipework. Looking for someone to remove/unscrew the sink trap, thoroughly clean out any build-up/blockage, refit it securely and check that the sink is draining properly afterwards. Please bring any tools/equipment needed. Important: We previously tried to clear the blockage using bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, a drain cleaning product and bleach. This was a few days ago, but mentioning for safety before the pipework is opened.

Attended the property following a report from the client that their neighbour had identified a damp patch on their wall and believed it may be caused by a leak from the client’s bathroom. The client requested non-invasive leak detection and trace-and-access investigation. I carried out an investigation within the bathroom, focusing on the area adjacent to the neighbour’s affected wall. A pressure test was carried out on the cold water supply system. The pressure dropped from 5 bar to 0 bar, indicating a loss of pressure and a potential leak on the cold water supply system. Thermal imaging was carried out within the bathroom, and elevated moisture readings were identified around the toilet area. An acoustic leak detection test was also carried out. Audible sounds consistent with running or dripping water were detected around the toilet and the shower spray area adjacent to the toilet. Based on the findings, the leak may be concealed behind the bathroom tiles. I advised the client that the tiles may need to be removed to gain access and expose the suspected leak. - need to get repaired

Hi, looking for an experienced local plumber in the Uxbridge / Hillingdon area. There’s an ongoing leak under the bathroom vanity unit that’s caused water staining and black mould on the wall, skirting board, and floor tiles in the corner. The unit is white with a white basin on top. We’ve stopped using this sink for now.Diagnose and fix the source of the leak (likely under the vanity – supply or waste pipes) Access under/behind the unit if needed (happy for the vanity to be carefully removed if required) Advise on the extent of the water damage and whether the vanity unit needs replacing Clean or treat the moulded areas if possible, or recommend next steps Photos/video available of the damage.
