My concealed shower tap's thermostatic cartridge needs cleaning or replacing. Water is hard to mix, always too hot or too cold! Obviously if it needs replacing i would need to buy it and you'd have to come back and I'd pay for both times... I tried to take it out to get a picture but I wasn't able to get the tap cap off,even after taking out the screws.

I need a plumber or someone experienced with shower temperature controls/mixer valve settings to fix my shower temperature. A while ago, I had an issue with the hot water not getting hot enough, and a plumber adjusted the shower settings to make the water hotter. It later turned out that the real problem was the boiler, which has since been replaced. However, the shower settings were never put back. As a result, I now only get very warm or very hot water, and I can’t get properly cold water through the shower. I believe this should be a relatively straightforward job for someone who knows how to adjust shower temperature settings / a mixer valve, but I’d like someone with plumbing experience to take a look and fix it properly. Please only get in touch if you have experience with this kind of shower/plumbing adjustment.
