I’m looking for an experienced handyman to complete several household jobs in one visit. Ideally, I’d like everything completed on the same day. Please bring standard tools, and any common fixings or replacement clips that may be required. Bedroom * Dismantle one single bed. * Assemble two new flat-pack beds. * Assemble one chest of drawers and securely fix it to the wall. * Repair/adjust cupboard hinges so the doors open and close correctly. * Install a clothes rail inside a wardrobe (the rail may need cutting to the correct length). * Remove an old wardrobe from my son’s bedroom. Kitchen & General * Re-secure loose kitchen plinths (kickboards) beneath the base units. They may require replacement clips or refitting. * Fill a few small gaps around an internal door frame/skirting, leaving the finish neat and ready for painting. What I’m Looking For * Someone with experience in flat-pack furniture assembly and general handyman work. * Please bring all standard tools. If additional fixings or clips are needed, I’m happy to reimburse the cost. * Please include potential cost of wardrobe disposal as part of your quote if this is possible

Property - First-floor leasehold flat, Flat 27B, in a two-flat converted Victorian mid-terrace. - The main front entrance door is communal. - My existing mechanical doorbell chime is mounted on the first-floor communal hallway wall. - The existing doorbell is not currently working. - A previous electrician reportedly found that the old transformer had been disconnected and that the historic system may have been powered from the ground-floor flat, Flat 27A. - The new installation must be powered solely from my metered electricity supply in Flat 27B. Proposed equipment I intend to supply: - Reolink wired Video Doorbell WiFi D340W; - Reolink plug-in chime; - Reolink Home Hub Mini; and - high-endurance microSD card. The D340W requires either 24V DC or 12–24V AC power. It connects to my router over Wi-Fi. I have an AEG/Electrolux fan oven (model PNC: 944 181 198). Recently the circuit breaker tripped on the fuse box and since then the oven has not been heating up at all, although the fan continues to run. The grill functions normally. The interior light is also not working (failed quite a long time ago). I would like someone to repair the oven and make the light work again please. Budget indicated excludes any required replacement parts and VAT (if applicable). Ideally the tasker would bring suitable parts that they consider are likely to be needed based on their assessment of the most likely cause of the issues (e.g. replacement heating element, light bulb).

I'm looking for an experienced contractor to carry out the following works in my 1 bedroom flat: Demolition - Remove and dispose of existing carpets from the living room and bedroom, as well as vinyl floor from the hallway. Painting & Decorating - Prepare and repair walls, ceilings and woodwork where required. - Living room: Apply two coats of white matt emulsion to the ceiling and two coats of vinyl matt emulsion to the walls. - Bedroom: Apply two coats of white matt emulsion to the ceiling and two coats of vinyl matt emulsion to the walls. - Prepare woodwork and apply one coat of undercoat and two coats of satinwood to all skirting boards and five internal doors. Flooring - install approximately 30m² of engineered wood flooring across the living room, bedroom and entrance hall. - Install matching beading/scotia (or advise if skirting boards should be removed and refitted instead). - Please inspect the existing subfloor and advise if any preparation or levelling is required. Furniture - The property is occupied, so furniture will need to be carefully moved during the works. This includes: - Two large sofas and coffee table - One bed - One large wardrobe and chest of drawers - One bookcase Materials & Waste - Please include all decorating materials (paint, fillers, masking/protection, etc.). Undermount kitchen sink is currently out. I need it resealed, clipped back up under the worktop, and the waste reconnected. Please include all parts in your quote but I think you only need some silicone! What’s involved: • Remove remaining old silicone from the sink rim and the underside of the worktop probably with methylated spirits or something similar (previous installer used an excess — I’ve already scraped off most of it) • Reseal and refit the sink, tighten the undermount clips • Reconnect the trap and the 40mm waste pipe (multifit coupling already bought) • Test for leaks Sealant is supplied — I have CT1 and a small bit of UniBond Bath & Kitchen left (not enough) which you can also use. I’d guess 1–2 hours. Please tell me how you’d approach the old sealant removal, since a bad prep job is what caused this in the first place.
