Sonos system installed a decade ago malfunctioned (sound came on at random) so was unplugged a year ago. Needs a check, reset and update, plus add some new component speakers . Need onsite presence. System wiring is fine - includes 4 ceiling speakers (2 in 2 rooms) and 2 Amps. Additional components include 2 standalone / wireless speakers (one is a bar connected to TV). Budget tbc flexible if needed. More interested in paying for the right person/expert than in getting the cheapest. Ideally job gets done at weekend or evening (6-8pm) as i work in daytime. Happy to speak to explain system but not interested in a “remote fix” or remote diagnosis - expert must be on site.

I need a handyman to wall-mount a single 50” flat-screen TV in my bedroom and run neat white surface trunking for the cables to the nearest socket. Property / wall: • Old London property, 2nd floor bedroom • Location: London W14 • Mounting wall is solid brick/party wall • Please bring appropriate fixings for solid brick/masonry TV & bracket: • TV: Samsung UE50KU6000, 50” (VESA 400 x 400, ~12 kg) • I’m happy for you to supply a simple tilt wall bracket (no full-motion arm) suitable for this TV Cabling & trunking: • TV power cable needs to go to the nearest double socket using white self-adhesive surface trunking, run neatly along the top of the skirting • Soundbar power cable should run in the same trunking route • Neither cable is long enough to reach the socket, so I will need an extension lead • please supply a suitable 3m white 4-gang extension lead, • Only the flex of the extension lead should go inside the trunking – the multi-socket end should be accessible (e.g. low on the wall or inside the shelving), not hidden in the trunking You should provide: • All tools for drilling into solid brick • Appropriate wall plugs / fixings for a 50” TV on a brick party wall • White mini trunking and corner pieces sized to take the extension lead flex + TV power + Sonos power on the short vertical run near the TV • Screws/adhesive and accessories to secure the trunking straight along the skirting • Spirit level and any cable clips as needed What I care about: • Neat, level installation of the TV and bracket • Trunking run straight and tidy, tight to the top of the skirting and around corners • No loose visible cables if possible • Care taken to avoid drilling into pipes/cables in the wall Please include in your offer: • Your fixed price for labour (materials can be included or listed separately) • Whether you will supply: • TV bracket • White surface trunking & corners • Extension lead • Wall plugs / masonry fixings
