They require a qualified builder to inspect and confirm the safety of several areas. Below are the items to inspect: 1. Uneven Floor Levels • Inspect all guest-accessible floors, particularly the bathroom and dining room near the chimney. • Confirm whether any areas present a trip hazard. • Note any minor variations and confirm if safe for normal guest use. 2. Fireplace Safety (Structural) • Inspect fireplace structure and bricks. Confirm they are mortared and secure. • Confirm that the fireplace does not pose a fire risk to surrounding floors. • Check if a fire screen is present or can be safely installed. 3. Floorboards / Joinery Near Chimney • Inspect floorboards for gaps, wear, or splinter hazards. • Confirm if any areas require repair to ensure guest safety. 4.
