Thermostatic Shower Repair or Replacement – Labour Only I'm looking for an experienced, reasonably priced plumber to repair or replace my thermostatic shower. The shower is approximately five years old. The water temperature has gradually deteriorated and is now cold or tepid, even with the dial turned to maximum. - Water pressure and flow are normal. - All other taps, including the bath, produce scalding-hot water. - The entire chrome mixer bar becomes extremely hot, but the shower water remains cold or tepid. I suspect the thermostatic cartridge may need cleaning or replacing and would prefer a repair if economical. Alternatively, I'm considering purchasing an Architeckt Astrion Matt Black Thermostatic Dual-Head Shower myself. https://www.plumbworld.co.uk/architeckt-thermostatic-mixer-shower-round-bar-valve-with-round-drench-adjustable-heads-black-3221-1262334 I'd like confirmation that this is suitable for a straightforward replacement. Please quote separately for: 1. Repairing the existing mixer. 2. Removing and installing the complete replacement shower. I'll purchase any necessary parts myself. I'm also looking for someone experienced in replacing thermostatic cartridges for future maintenance. Photos of both showers available.
