Need a skilled handyman to complete two jobs: cosmetically repairing/refinishing a wooden door frame and replacing a broken internal bedroom door latch. Job 1: Wooden Door Frame Repair & Touch-Up Painting Need a wooden door frame cosmetically repaired and refinished (pics/vids available). Issue: Frame section reapplied years ago remains sound but has uneven old filler, paint ridges, and surface imperfections along the joint. What's Needed: Remove catch plate; sand down uneven filler and old paint ridges; apply fine filler to low spots and sand smooth; prime and repaint to match existing colour/finish seamlessly. Job 2: Internal Door Latch Replacement Need a broken internal bedroom door latch mechanism repaired or replaced (pics/vids available). Issue: Tubular latch mechanism is broken/detached. The handle turns without retracting the bolt, and operates anti-clockwise to open—4 outer faceplate screws were removed years ago for clearance and are lost. What's Needed: Remove handles and spindle; extract broken internal tubular latch; supply and install a new matching tubular latch; supply 4 matching screws for the outer faceplate; reattach handles and test that the latch operates smoothly and retracts flush.

I need someone to mount a 58-inch TV and a 140 cm floating TV unit on the wall in my bedroom. The TV unit is already fully built, so I only need help securely fixing both the TV bracket and the floating unit to the wall. I’ve already scanned the wall and found two likely studs, but I’d like the wall checked again before drilling to confirm the safest fixing points. If the studs can’t be used, I also already have Corefix 100 fixings and GeeFix heavy-duty plasterboard fixings available as backup options. I already have: - the TV - fixed TV wall bracket - fully built floating TV unit - Corefix 100 fixings - GeeFix plasterboard fixings I’d also like help fitting white surface cable trunking neatly between the TV, unit and nearby socket so the cables are hidden.

My fridge is making a loud noise when it runs. The noise lasts for roughly 20–30 minutes, then the fridge goes quiet for around 20 minutes before starting again. It is still cooling normally, but the noise is much louder than I would expect. I’m looking for someone experienced with domestic fridge/freezer repairs to diagnose the cause and advise whether it is a simple vibration/fan issue, something repairable, or whether replacement would make more sense. Please quote for diagnosis/call-out first. I don’t want any repair work carried out without agreeing the cost beforehand. Also want the extractor fan above the oven to be looked at as this is also extremely loud

I’m looking for a tiler to repair the tiled wall around my bathroom extractor fan opening. The old extractor fan has been removed, and the surrounding tile/opening now needs to be made neat before a new fan can be fitted by an electrician. The job will likely involve removing/replacing or cutting the affected tile(s) around the opening and leaving a clean, correctly sized opening for the new extractor fan. It’s a relatively small job rather than a full bathroom re-tile. I can provide photos and measurements. Please let me know your availability and whether you can supply any materials needed.
