My company size is 3000 employees with operations in AU and NZ, but the parent company is in Canada, so kind of international company, I’ll need to return to China for surgery and recovery for 2months. I have Au specialist medical evidence to recommend me do surgery, as my family is all in China and my parents don’t speak English and wouldn’t be able to assist with checkups here. so I said need back to China for this and my manager pass situation to Hr and happy to give 2 months leave, the questions is, today they just reply to me like the following, attached in the picture. The first thing is not sure does this mean there's still room for discussion regarding the paid SL or not? if okay, what's the appropriate way to approach with my boss? as tomorrow we have a 1V1 talking, I want to tell my manager I am actually going back this time to do the surgery, so I would like to ask HR if I can be granted paid SL? if so, what is the maximum number of days allowed according to company policy? I have 85 hours SL and they know it, I want to use my paid SL first and then is paid AL to cover my off, also I don't want to looks too aggressive or rude, so what should I phrase it correctly? Please write down what I need to say, as is a teams meeting so I can have notes by my side, the second question is based on their response, do you think is there any room for me to ask them if I can work overseas? before I tell my manager I can work online after 3 weeks of my surgery, but as China internet is sensitive so I need company give me the VPN, and she said she need check with IT, but get the answer like that, actually I have friend who work in China with international roaming, and use phone hotpot with laptop to work online, do you think is okay to mention that? but I want to tell her if company is concern about data leakage can just forget it, are you recommend me to said this?
