Remove old decking and lay new paving/patio I’m looking for someone experienced to remove and dispose of an existing area of timber decking and replace it with paving. The condition of the ground underneath the decking is not yet known. The job may therefore involve some preparation or foundation work before the paving can be laid, such as: * Removing the decking, timber frame and existing supports * Clearing and disposing of all waste * Assessing the ground and existing base underneath * Excavating or levelling the area if required * Installing an appropriate sub-base and compacting it * Allowing for suitable drainage and a fall away from the house * Laying and pointing the paving * Leaving the area clean and tidy I would like someone who has previous experience laying patios or paving, rather than decking removal alone. Please explain: 1. Your relevant experience with patio or paving installations 2. Whether you can remove and legally dispose of the old decking 3. Whether you can supply the necessary materials or would prefer me to order them (I don't mind, but we do want some nice paving - york stone or equivalent) 4. Your availability to visit, inspect the area and provide an estimate 5. Whether your price includes labour, waste disposal and any equipment required The final scope may need to be agreed once the decking has been lifted and the condition of the ground underneath is visible. Please do not undertake significant additional foundation work without agreeing the cost with me first.

I am looking for an experienced landscaper, patio specialist, decking contractor or carpenter to inspect and repair a raised porcelain patio and timber sleeper retaining wall. The priority is to identify and permanently resolve the source of water ingress rather than simply carrying out cosmetic repairs. Current issues: Timber sleeper retaining wall showing signs of rot and decay in one area Ants, spiders and insects living behind and within the sleeper wall One loose porcelain patio tile Localised grout deterioration Evidence of water ingress around the patio edge and sleeper wall Concern that water may be entering through failed grout, tile joints or patio edge details Scope of work: Investigate and identify the source of water ingress Inspect the sleeper wall structure and determine the extent of any rot Inspect behind the damaged area where possible Recommend the most cost-effective permanent repair Treat any insect infestation if required Repair or replace damaged sleeper sections as necessary Re-fix loose porcelain tile Repair localised grout defects Seal and weatherproof vulnerable areas where appropriate Advise on any drainage improvements required Please only apply if you have experience with: Raised patios Porcelain paving Sleeper retaining walls Decking structures Landscaping projects Water ingress diagnosis and repair I am happy for the job to begin with an inspection and quotation if the extent of repairs cannot be determined from the photographs alone.

I need an experienced landscaper/tile installer to lay porcelain paving slabs in a small outdoor area at my house in Ruislip Manor (HA4 8TZ). Details: Area size: 3.1m long x 1.3m wide (approx. 4m²) Slabs: 900 x 600 x 20mm porcelain (State Pearl) — I already have all the slabs Simple 2-row grid layout with the 600mm side across the width Some straight cuts required to fit the length and around a couple of existing obstacles (shed, walls, etc.) Proper outdoor installation: prepare base if needed, full-bed flexible adhesive, 3-5mm joints, and grout I will supply: All paving slabs Adhesive, primer, grout, and any other materials (I’ll purchase these before the job) You will need to provide: Tools and equipment for cutting (wet saw), levelling, and installation Experience with large-format outdoor porcelain paving Small, straightforward job. I need the whole garden clean from tree roots, all gone, there are so many branches as well as roots deep into the ground. I want the soil to be levelled as well as cleaned. I want the bricks to be removed as well as the black heavy mat which imbedded into the ground. The task is a bit big. But I also want all the plants gone. Completely gone, should only see the ground. As well as the plant holder against the wall, needs to go, the bricks, everything levelled from there, as well all the plants, and roots. I want a clean garden without anything around, as I’m disabled I can’t have anything which may cause me to have a problem. It’s a small garden. I don’t want the growth next year. I would like it to be cleaned. So I can actually get paving or concrete done in the future. If you could do this that would be a bonus.
