handyman needed to restore the visible faces of timber railway sleepers in my back garden after they were painted with light grey exterior paint a few days ago. The job is to remove the paint to achieve a natural, rustic timber appearance as It was underneath before. Job includes: - Bring your own equipment (angle grinder with paint stripping disc, belt sander or similar). - Remove the paint from the visible faces of the sleepers. - Leave a weathered, reclaimed timber finish. - Take care around plants and shrubs. - Clean up afterwards. And then place a clear sleeper protector This is a straightforward manual job. Previous woodworking experience is helpful but not essential if you have the right tools. I am looking for someone experienced in exterior painting to prepare and repaint the following at my property: 2 external doors 2 large wooden gates Timber conservatory (external wood only) Scope of work: Rub down/sand all timber surfaces to provide a good key for painting Remove any loose or flaking paint where necessary Apply the supplied exterior paint to all surfaces, ensuring a neat, even finish Materials: I will supply the paint only You will need to provide all other materials and equipment, including sandpaper, brushes, rollers, dust sheets, masking tape, fillers (if required) and any access equipment needed. Please only apply if you have experience with exterior wood preparation and painting. Please include photos of similar work you’ve completed and confirm your availability.
