We are looking for a reliable, practical home chef or experienced cook to provide ongoing meal preparation for two adults in Shoreditch, London. We are in a first-floor apartment with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 separate toilet, a living room, kitchen with open-plan sitting area. Note on the app I can't state from and to price range - happy to discuss. I need regular help with meal preparation. I work crazy hours and food falls to the bottom of the list. I often cannot face thinking about what to eat, shopping, prepping , cooking and then dealing with the clean-up. I’m wasting too much food, not eating as well and I’ve reached the conclusion that I need some practical help from somebody lovely and reliable. I’m based (E14) and this would just be for me. I’m not looking for fine dining. I’m quite a simple creature when it comes to food. I’m happy with straightforward, nutritious meals and interested in consistency, good ingredients, minimal waste and having lovely food readily available. Ideally, I’m looking for • Planning a small rotation of meals that work long term • Shopping lists and reducing food waste • Meal preparation and cooking • Portioning/freezing where sensible • Leaving the kitchen tidy afterwards • Helping create a system that actually works for my lifestyle I’m completely flexible on how this works. You could cook in my kitchen, prep meals off-site and deliver them, or a combination of both. I’m looking for somebody practical, organised, reliable and genuinely good at cooking nice everyday food. You absolutely do not need to be a trained chef — just somebody who enjoys food and understands how to make life easier. Nutrition, reducing waste and creating a sustainable routine are probably the three biggest priorities. Importantly, I’m not looking for a one-off arrangement. I’m hoping to find somebody long term who wants regular, ongoing work and who enjoys building a routine that works. Reliability, consistency and common sense are far more important to me than formal qualifications or chef training.
