Landscape design for a front yard in Yokine, using native Australian plants and incorporating a deck at the front door. It’s a front yard space on a corner block c. 80m2, surrounded by a full height brick wall it is enclosed space. Keeping the washing line area and the vegetable raised planters. Also retain the existing garden bed on the side mostly to retain existing large trees. Wants to keep grass wrapping around in the same style but with new edging, and a modern but rustic pathway from the gate to the front deck. Garden bed under the window at the front can be changed to suit the new path. The garden bed with the vine, air con unit, and gas meter may need to stay as is? But open to suggestions. Want to have a sitting area at the front door area on the deck. Maybe an umbrella set up, open to your suggestions and design touch. Going for a rustic Australian style but modern. See photos. I am wanting to know about this tree again through its seed and watering. Can you help with some information again. There is no tap on the site for watering.! It aggravates my home backyard like a lily pilly and it appears that the concrete is very dry and does look very limed Can it be improved without removing the tree and is the concrete safe for outside activities. Small area 5 m X 5 m. . The photos with spots are areas of concrete (pinkish colour) Any suggestions previously mentioned melitia tree. Landscape design plan for 1+ acre – front appeal & pool area focus We’re looking for a landscape designer (or experienced horticulturalist with design skills) to help us create a practical and beautiful landscape plan for our property — just over 1 acre. The block has plenty of established trees and plants, but many have been left to overgrow. We’d like a thoughtful design that works with the space and keeps any worthwhile elements, but we’re not attached to keeping everything. We’re happy to remove, reshape or replant as needed to get a better overall result. Our main goals are: - Enhancing the front appeal of the house with a cohesive, welcoming design - Making the best use of the areas around the pool, balancing functionality and visual appeal - Developing a staged plan we can work through gradually over time - Clear guidance on what to keep, remove or rework to bring the garden back to life - Planting suggestions that add colour and interest but aren’t overly high-maintenance - Advice on two large front garden beds, including whether it’s best to completely remove them to allow for a future front fence, or to redesign them in a way that works long term. One of these beds currently has a rock drainage section that channels water during heavy rain, so we’d love ideas on how to handle or incorporate that as part of the overall plan We’re not after full landscaping services — just a solid design plan and direction that we can follow step by step. Please include details of your experience or examples of similar projects in your response. Site visits are welcome, or remote work from plans/photos could be fine for the right person. Budget: flexible for the right person depending on scope and level of detail
