Complete Annual Gas Inspection, check all radiators in house. One upstairs radiator has a problem with gurgling and sounding like water is always running into it to fill but it doesn’t get hot, not sure if there is an air lock in the system. I have bled all radiators but doesn’t seem to resolve the issue. The heating system is Tado, some of the radiator attachments regularly disconnect from the airless receiver and am unsure why, stating they are offline even with new batteries. Think maybe need a whole system flush or all radiators emptied and pressure reset but unsure of how to resolve.

Background We have a gas central heating system serving a three-storey house, with: * Wet underfloor heating (UFH) on the ground floor, installed within a concrete floor. * Conventional radiators on the upper floors. * Individual room thermostats controlling the downstairs UFH. * Hive Active Heating 2 thermostat, Hive receiver and Hive Hub Gen 3 controlling the upstairs heating. Issues to Investigate 1. Heating System Operation * The issue is the two independent heating systems are unable to operate independently. Although the radiators can provide heat alone, only the UFH kicks in once the radiators are in operation. I want the downstairs UGH loop to operate independently. I presume this is a wiring fault as the 2 point valve was replaced last year. This was a problem last year that was fixed but has returned. * Check for any circulation, balancing or control issues. 2. System Efficiency and General Condition * Assess whether the heating system is configured appropriately for a house with concrete-floor UFH and upstairs radiators. * Check boiler flow temperature and control settings. * Highlight any maintenance or repairs required.
