The garden needs a general clean-up. Over time, the mulch has worn down and weeds and grass have started growing through. I’ve previously killed the grass and weeds and re-mulched, but this has only been a temporary fix. The plants have also grown a lot, so the garden is now overgrown and untidy. I’d like to properly address the issue and refresh the garden so it looks clean and well maintained long term. I’m not entirely sure of the best solution, but my initial thought is to remove any existing weeds and grass, install a new weed mat, and re-mulch the area. This would likely involve trimming back all existing plants or possibly removing some altogether. If replanting with new plants is a better or more practical option, I’m open to discussing suitable plant choices. There is also an empty spot where the statue is that needs a new plant. This area doesn’t receive much sunlight, as shown in the photos, so it will need something suitable for low-light conditions. Overall, we’re ideally looking for a low-maintenance solution, as we don’t have a lot of time for regular upkeep.
