Living Room Refresh - Acton W3 I need a reliable handyman for a 1-day labor job The Scope (Top to Bottom): Ceiling: 1-2 coats of white emulsion. High Picture Rail: (already Primed with Zinsser) needs finish with White Gloss. Walls: 2 coats of Egyptian Cotton Plaster Repair: A deep section of "blown" plaster under the bay window needs to be scraped back, deep-filled using No Nonsense Basecoat (provided), and sanded perfectly smooth/flush before painting. Door & Frame: Prime with Zinsser and finish with White Gloss. (coat of Zinsser already done around door frame, door and frame above door still need doing) Skirtings : Prime with Zinsser and finish with White Gloss Note: Two dead phone/NTL sockets under the window can be removed and the holes filled over. Preparation Required (Included in Price): Protection: Laying down provided plastic sheets and masking off all windows/edges. Sanding: Sanding all walls, the pre-filled ceiling beam, and woodwork until perfectly smooth. The Bay Repair: Deep-fill repair of blown plaster under the bay window (using No Nonsense Basecoat provided). Must be chipped back, filled, and sanded perfectly flush. Corner Cracks: Rake out and use flexible caulk on vertical corner cracks to prevent re-cracking. Minor Filling: Filling any small cracks/holes found during prep What I Provide: ALL PAINT/FILL: Egyptian Cotton, White Emulsion, Zinsser, Gloss, and 10kg Basecoat filler. EQUIPMENT: I have a ladder if needed. What You Provide: Professional brushes, rollers, and sandpaper. A tidy, high-quality "one-day" finish. Budget: £250 Fixed.
