I’m looking for an experienced flooring installer to replace the existing carpets with luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring in my flat at Townfield Gardens, Altrincham. The work covers the living room, dining room and hallways, with a combined area of approximately 24m². Flooring supplied: I have already ordered the flooring: Supremo Diamond Luxury Click Vinyl Rigid Core Flooring – Nature, 8mm, with built-in underlay. Move or reposition furniture as necessary to clear the work areas. 2. Lift and remove the existing carpets and underlay. 3. Remove carpet grippers and deal with any protruding fixings. 4. Inspect and prepare the existing concrete subfloor. 5. Check the floor levels and carry out any necessary levelling or smoothing to meet the flooring manufacturer’s installation requirements. 6. Install the supplied click LVT, ensuring neat cuts around doorways, edges and other obstacles. 7. Fit suitable finishing trims and thresholds where required. 8. Remove installation waste and leave the rooms clean and tidy. Important: The existing floor is concrete beneath the carpet. Please identify any additional subfloor preparation or levelling costs before proceeding. Please include in your offer: * Labour for carpet removal and LVT installation. * Carpet and underlay disposal. * Standard fitting materials, trims and thresholds, where included. * Whether subfloor levelling is included, and the additional cost if required. * Whether you can move furniture and return it after installation. The LVT has already been purchased, so I am looking for installation and associated labour rather than a flooring supply package. Please provide examples of similar installations and your availability.

I have a circa 3x5m Victorian living room in Stalybridge. The existing carpet has been removed down to the original wooden floorboards, and the client wishes to have real wood, herringbone flooring installed. The client is purchasing the flooring and underlay materials independently unless the trader has access to any trade discounts from their own suppliers. Please note this is likely to be a traditional Tongue-and-Groove (T&G) system, not a click-lock system. The job requires installing a high-quality underlay and floating the herringbone pattern, manually glueing all T&G joints with wood adhesive. Because it is a Victorian property, we require the tradesperson to check the subfloor for level tolerances before laying. Please indicate if your quote includes joint adhesive, door trimming, or if you recommend overlaying plywood first.
