Read more I am looking to replace the carpets with laminate floorboards in a two-storey unit. Please provide quotations to replace the carpets with floorboards, including the cost of the materials and installation. It's OK if you can only provide an estimate. Once I have taken possession of the property, we can make an appointment for a proper measure and quote. I would like to use the following materials: - 55 square metres of Quick-step Impressive Ultra (Soft Oak Light). - 65 metres of matching colour scotia (Soft Oak Light) For underlays, I plan to use acoustic underlays for the upstairs area. For downstairs, I can use normal underlays. Please provide a quotation for the underlays as well if you have them. It's OK if you don't have the acoustic underlays. I can buy them from the manufacturers. - Upstairs - 5 mm thick acoustic underlays: 40 square metres. - Downstairs: 9 square metres of normal underlay. I am not sure what the best solution is for the stairs. I would like to replace the carpet with floorboards on the stairs too, to make it easier to clean, but I am worried it will be slippery to walk on. I have attached the floor plan of the house here for your reference.

I will be also removing all the carpet and panels in the kitchen so that only the bare chipboard will be ready to be prepared. The job needs to be done right to ensure a smooth and durable flooring installation. What’s Required: Ensure floors are clean, dry, flat, and free of debris or imperfections. Sand, level, or fill any uneven areas, cracks, or gaps as needed. Check for and secure any loose chipboard panels or screws. Apply a suitable underlay or primer if required for SPC flooring compatibility. Ensure the surface meets manufacturer specifications for SPC flooring installation. Details: Area: Kitchen, 4 bedrooms, dining/living room and a hallway, approx. 110 sqm. Floors are currently chipboard, no existing flooring to remove. You’ll need to supply your own tools and materials (e.g., sanders, fillers, cleaning supplies). Work can be done over the 8th and 9th of June (Sunday/Monday) Attention to detail is critical to avoid issues with the SPC flooring. Ideal Tasker: Experience with floor preparation is essential. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Owns necessary tools (e.g., floor sander, leveling tools, vacuum). Knowledge of Hybrid SPC flooring requirements is a plus.
