Stair prep and painting Looking for someone to sand and paint the ground floor stairs in our house ahead of a carpet runner being fitted. The job - Remove remaining staples and adhesive residue from treads and risers - Sand treads and risers - Fill any holes/gaps - Prime and paint risers (treads will be covered by runner so less critical) - One flight of stairs, approximately 13 steps with a winder at the bottom When This week, ideally Thursday or Friday What we're looking for Someone with experience in prep and painting work. This isn't a complex job but it needs to be done properly - the risers in particular will be visible either side of the runner once fitted. Please specify whether you will bring equipment - this must be done with a mechanical / orbital sander, not by hand.

I’m looking for someone experienced in laminate flooring to install new flooring in a bedroom that is being converted into a living room/snug. **Room size:** approximately 3.5m × 4m (14m²). The job would involve: * Removing the existing carpet and underlay * Checking the existing chipboard/wood subfloor is suitable for laminate * Removing any existing carpet grippers/staples as required * Laying 3mm laminate underlay * Installing approximately 14m² of 8mm click-lock laminate flooring * Maintaining the required 10mm expansion gap around the room * Cutting neatly around the doorway and other edges * Fitting matching scotia/beading around the existing skirting boards * Fitting/finishing the doorway threshold as required * Leaving the finished floor clean and ready for furniture I will supply the laminate, underlay and matching scotia. I have approximately 16.75m² of laminate to allow for cuts and wastage. The room will be completely emptied beforehand and I will be decorating before the flooring is installed. Ideally I would like the work completed in one day. Please let me know your experience with click laminate flooring, your estimated price, and whether there are any additional materials you would recommend I have ready before you arrive.
