We have a Pool Non-Compliance Report (PDF attached). Many items relate to the upper deck balustrade and the staircase balustrade. However, after discussing with our certifier, we confirmed the following: 👉 The most efficient and lowest-cost solution is to install a compliant pool gate + short fence section at the TOP of the stairs. This will create a new pool barrier boundary, meaning: • The upper deck and its balustrade will no longer be part of the pool area • Therefore the deck balustrade does NOT need to be upgraded • Only the new barrier at the stair entrance needs to comply with AS1926.1 We are looking for a qualified fencing contractor to supply and install this new barrier. ⸻ Scope of Work Required: 1. Supply & install a 1200mm-high aluminium pool-compliant fence panel Located at the top landing of the stairs leading to the pool. 2. Supply & install a fully compliant pool gate: • Self-closing • Self-latching • Latch ≥1500mm from finished floor • Gate opens away from the pool • Must close & latch from any resting position 3. Ensure barrier is continuous & non-climbable • No footholds within 900mm NCZ • No gaps >100mm • Securely fix panel to deck posts or structure 4. Optional small side infill panel If any extra gap exists next to the deck structure. ⸻ What We’re Looking For: • Lowest cost clean solution • Good appearance • Full compliance with AS1926.1 • Someone who has done pool compliance jobs before • On-site inspection + quote

Hi Taskers, I need two plinth boards at the base of my wooden fence straightened and secured. Each section is approx. 2 metres long. The plinths have started to bow outwards, and I want them repaired using the same method shown in the photos — metal stakes/brackets screwed into the plinth to pull it flush and keep it secure.
