Project Overview We are recruiting remote contributors across the United Kingdom to participate in a speech data collection project aimed at improving AI voice recognition systems used in next-generation electric vehicles. This is a short-term remote contract requiring approximately 2–2.5 hours of participation. Task Description Participants will complete an individual voice recording task using a dedicated mobile application. Command Recording Record approximately 600 in-car voice commands. Commands simulate real vehicle interactions such as navigation, climate control, media, and driving assistance requests. Recording Requirements Clear and natural reading style. Consistent pronunciation and speaking pace. Recordings must be completed in a quiet indoor environment using a smartphone. Remote Setup Recording will be completed individually via the specialised mobile application FunCrowd. No conversation partner is required. Eligibility Requirements Native or near-native British English speakers, typically individuals born and raised in the UK. Must be 18 years or older. Access to: a quiet recording environment, reliable WiFi connection, a smartphone valued at approximately USD $100 or above.
