The carpet and underlay will be removed. All closets will be completely empty upon your arrival. The staircase is not accessible from below. Not in the congestion charge zone. Free parking permit available. First floor maisonette.

I already have the carpet. I need an experienced carpet fitter to lay it loosely over my staircase, mark it and cut it into the exact shapes required for each tread and riser. This job is for cutting the carpet to shape only. I do not need it fitted, glued or secured to the stairs. Once cut, I will send the pieces away to have the edges professionally bordered. They will be fitted separately at a later date.

Need someone to trim the bottom of an internal wooden door because it catches on the carpet when opening and closing. The door needs to be removed, a small amount (approximately 5–10 mm, if required) cut from the bottom, then refitted and adjusted so it opens and closes smoothly without rubbing on the carpet. Please bring the necessary tools and ensure the cut is neat and the door remains level and closes properly. Clean up any wood dust after the job.

Need an experienced carpet repair specialist to fix a small burn mark caused by a clothing iron. The damage is localized to one area only. Important: I do not have any spare carpet and cannot cut a patch from another area of the carpet, so I’m looking for someone who can provide an alternative repair solution or supply a closely matched patch/material. The repair needs to be as unnoticeable/invisible as possible once completed, ideally blended so it’s very difficult to notice. Please bring your own tools/materials and feel free to ask for photos/ questions before quoting. Flexible with timing.
