I need help creating 5 custom Ikea IVAR shelves. I watched some YouTube Tutorials on this so I know it’s possible, I just don’t have the skills or tools to do it myself. I need the shelves to be longer than the longest shelf that Ikea offers! Making these shelves would involve removing the metal clip from the edge of an existing Ikea Ivar shelf and then using that part to build a new one. I can provide the old Ikea shelves to remove the side bracket from, but I would look to you to source the wood for the new shelves! They are made out of unfinished pine. The shelves need to be 30cm deep and approx 115cm long. Some of the tutorials are older where the custom clip is made out of plastic, but I have been to Ikea and they are made out of metal now. Additionally, I don’t own the shelves yet, I need to know if the custom length shelves are possible before I buy them. Flexible timeline, but ideally would get this sorted by early July!
