I need an experienced decorator to repair a small area of ceiling paint damaged by a leak from upstairs. The leak has been fixed and the area is dry. The scope of work should include scraping back the peeling paint, filling and sanding flush using Polyfilla or a repair filler, applying a stain-blocking primer, and finally, painting the ceiling. The work needs to be carried out on a Saturday, preferably the 8th of August. You must be able to provide an official invoice prior to payment, as I need this to claim the cost back from the unit upstairs. A photo of the affected area is attached. Many thanks.

Looking for a handyman to clean and paint a brown metal pipe next to the toilet in the bathroom. Details: The pipe has old paint and some residual blue stain from previous cleaning (rodenticide residue – already mostly cleaned, but paint remains). Also some black mould spots that need removing. Pipe is metal (likely copper), runs near the toilet/bathtub area. Need: scrape/sand old paint, clean thoroughly, apply metal primer, then paint with mould-resistant bathroom paint (white preferred). Please bring your own tools and materials. Job should take 1–2 hours.

I would like to get the wooden planks from my balcon cleaned. I need the 5 pot of plants and a few other items moved first, fix any loose nails, clean the wood planks and repaint or wood stain / treatment. As I'm on 11th floor, pressure washing is not an option as it will impact my downstairs neighbours. I need an experienced decorator to repair and repaint the ceiling in my son's bedroom. The ceiling has an old water stain from a leak that was repaired several years ago. The area is completely dry and the stain has not changed for years. The ceiling was previously repainted, but I don't believe a stain-blocking primer was used, so the stain has bled back through. The job will involve: Preparing the damaged area (scraping/sanding any loose paint if required). Treating any surface mould if necessary. Applying a suitable stain-blocking primer/sealer. Filling/sanding any minor imperfections if needed. Repainting the entire ceiling with two coats of white ceiling paint. Please provide all materials, including stain-blocking primer, ceiling paint and any fillers required. Please only quote if you have experience repairing water-stained ceilings. Local handyman needed to prep and stain/varnish wooden climbing frame – North London. It’s a Backyard Discovery Lakewood wooden swing set / climbing frame which was assembled a few months ago. It now needs to be properly treated with a cedar-coloured outdoor wood stain / protector (I have the protector already). The job will need to be done over 2–3 weekday visits to allow for prep, drying time and coats, and will need to be scheduled during a run of dry weather. Visit 1 – Prep: Wash down / clean the frame with warm soapy water and a stiff brush; Rinse and allow to dry; Light sanding in key areas (handholds, ladder areas, corners etc.); Wipe away dust; Cover / protect slide and swings before staining. Visit 2 – First coat: Apply first coat of cedar wood stain / protector evenly across the frame. Visit 3 – Second coat / finishing: Apply second coat if needed / final coat for protection. Important notes: - It needs to be done during the week if possible so we can work around our son using it. - Ideally someone local who can be flexible around the weather and come back for short follow-up visits. - I have brushes and the wood stain/ protector, but please bring your own sanding materials / dust sheets / prep materials. Timing: Flexible, but ideally on weekday mornings / daytime during a spell of dry weather over the next couple of weeks. Budget: £75–£100 total..Likely only around 1–2 hours per visit over 2–3 visits

Remove loose paint. Replace any damaged plasterboard. Re-tape the cracked joint. Skim the repaired areas (or possibly skim the whole ceiling if you want a perfect finish). Prime with a stain blocker. Repaint.
