I’m setting up Xero Payroll for a very small Australian business and I’m looking for an experienced Xero bookkeeper or payroll specialist to help set things up correctly from the start. Business size: • 1-3 casual employees/contractors • Pty Ltd company • Using Xero only What I need help with: • Setting up Xero Payroll properly • Configuring payroll to align with an Australian Modern Award (including correct base rates, penalties and loadings where applicable) • Setting up PAYG withholding, superannuation, and STP • Ensuring the employee is classified correctly under an award • Making sure pay runs are simple, accurate, and compliant • Walking me through how to run pay runs myself after the setup Important notes: • This is a new setup, not a clean-up • The business is small, but compliance and accuracy are important • I’m looking for someone who can explain the setup, not just configure it Ongoing work (if all goes well): While this task is a one-off payroll setup, if everything goes well I would be open to engaging the right person on an ongoing monthly basis for: • BAS preparation • Reconciliations • General bookkeeping support and compliance Ideal experience: • Strong experience with Xero Payroll • Experience with award-based payroll in Australia • Good understanding of ATO requirements (STP, PAYG, super) • Clear communicator This is a one-off task initially, with the potential for regular ongoing work if the fit is right. I’m looking for an accountant to assist with a limited-scope retrospective review of my company accounts from FY22 to current. I’ve updated the P&L in QBO and drafted the BAS returns, and it looks about right, but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve spoken to the ATO and they’ve given me until the 18th of February to resubmit everything. The company has had multiple activities running through it, although it has low revenue, and I’m seeking a practical tidy-up and correction rather than broad advisory work. Specifically, I’m looking for help with: - PSI contractor income and allowable deductions - Correct approach with company share trading activity (balance sheet vs P&L treatment, net gains/losses) - Approach towards my small online business income, expenses, and losses - Any missed or incorrectly classified deductions I am not seeking restructuring, R&D, or high-level tax strategy at this stage, just an accurate reclassification and review to ensure the taxable position is correct. I’m looking to minimize the tax obligation and to get a deal around ATO fees, as I understand I can request to have these removed. Ideally you'll manage this with the ATO. Ideally, this would be a time-boxed engagement or fixed fee. Thanks in advance, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I am seeking an experienced Australian lawyer or senior debt recovery specialist to take immediate action to recover $6,600 paid by my company for marketing services that were not delivered. This matter is straightforward: • A standard written agreement for marketing services was entered into in the name of my company • Full payment of $6,600 was made by the company • The marketing services were not provided • The contractor ceased work without justification • The contractor improperly redirected / credited the funds to a staff member who left my business and started up as competition, without authority • I expressly made it clear to the contractor that: • The agreement was solely with my company • The staff member was my employee • There was no authority to redirect services or funds to that individual I am seeking someone who: • Is experienced in debt recovery, breach of contract, and services non-delivery • Has dealt with marketing, media, or digital services disputes • Is confident proceeding on the basis of standard written agreements and course of conduct • Can draft a strong Letter of Demand and advise on escalation options where appropriate or even a statutory demand. • Is decisive, commercially minded, and comfortable applying lawful pressure • Focuses on outcomes, not extended correspondence I am no longer interested in informal resolution.
